Both confirmed that she was doing as Taffanel taught. Cromwell studied with Hanson who was in Barrere's class with Taffanel, and showed him what Taffanel taught. (Since Moyse, Hanson and Kincaid all agreed as to what Taffanel taught, we know this is the true French Flute School teaching.)
